Bathing in Chocolate

By Diane Robinson Chocolate is making a comeback with health conscious new applications. Research is showing that dark chocolate contains flavanols. Flavanols are antioxidants that can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, decrease blood pressure, improve glucose metabolism, and increase serotonin and endorphin production. Body care is being revolutionized with new options for cleansing and protecting our largest organ; our skin. The skin is a semi-permeable membrane. It allows substances that are small enough to pass into the blood stream. Medicinal patches rely on the skin to mediate the transfer from the patch and into the bloodstream. For this reason cosmetics and body treatments should be chosen with the same care as the the food that we eat. A good quality organic cocoa is the first ingredient in a romantic chocolate bath. Mix one cup of cocoa with two cups of milk, soy milk, rice milk, or goats milk. The milk helps to breakdown old dead skin cells. Add half a cup of honey and whip until frothy (an immersion blender works well). Pour a very warm bath, adding the frothed milk chocolate right at the end. Just before stepping into the tub, pour a large glass of ice wine or champagne into the bath. The wine has exfoliating and antioxidant properties. Pour a second glass for yourself or to share with your lover. If you and your bath mate are playful take a bar of dark chocolate (70% is optimum) with you to nibble on or finger paint with while sipping wine in your chocolate bath. The chocolate, wine, and milk will leave your skin soft, sexy, and glowing. The smell of chocolate will follow you all day. The Meeting Planner's Online Advantage: 7 Ways to Cut Down Customer Service Issues

By Bill Flagg 7 Things You Can Do RIGHT NOW with a Fully-Automated System to Improve Your Customer Service: 1. Get contact info right the first time. Theres nothing more frustrating to a registrant than when an event organizer gets their information wrong. Each instance in your process where you manually enter or transfer data poses a risk for making errors. Using an automated system, which has everything built-in (online registration, accounting, badge printing), eliminates all data entry and data transferring issues. 2. Be sure that payment information is correct. When a registrant thinks they are registered because they gave you their information and credit card number; then finds out a week or two later their charge did not go through; stress is created. You can automatically processes credit card transactions in real-time; so there is no miscommunication. 3. Send impeccable follow-ups. Registrants like to know that everything is being properly handled with their registration and your event. When they dont hear from you after they register, they get worried. Automatically send confirmation and reminder emails with a personalized touch. 4. Keep track of numbers daily. Events can go wrong when an event organizer doesnt know the details of their event numbers on a daily basis. Real-time awareness of lack of demand or hyper-demand for different aspects of your events, allows sufficient time to make alternate preparations. Automated online systems make it easy to tally registrant data on a daily basis. 5.Organize your information. If you are managing your events with multiple spreadsheets or systems, you know it can be difficult to stay organized. If information gets lost or falls through a crack, it eventually becomes a dissatisfied attendee. Avoid unhappy customers by using a fully-integrated system... it should have all of the systems built-in: registrant preferences, accounting, badge printing and reporting. 6. Automate the waitlisting process. Registrants dont mind things being sold-out when there is a well-communicated waitlisting process in place. A good registration system automatically provides a waitlist for registrants then notifies them the instant a spot opens up. If they accept the open spot, then their payment is automatically collected as well. 7. Eliminate frustrations with early-bird specials and discounts Registrants love to ask if they can get early-bird specials and discounts for which they know they do not qualify. They hate to hear "no" and you hate to say it. A fully-automated system qualifies everyone for the appropriate discounts, so you dont need to. I sincerely hope this article makes your conference and event registration even more successful! Will We Win The War On Terror?

By P Maillet Will we win the "war on terror"? Will diplomacy eventually pacify the terrorist ideology? If we take out Iran's nuclear facilities, will that stop this? Does the Bible have anything to say about nuclear war? If it does, would you believe it? If you believe it, do you believe it will be a long time in the future? Anyone who thinks there's a chance of winning the war on terror is sadly deceived. Yes, the Bible does have something to say about it. It predicts a time of nuclear holocaust and oblivion. If you're a Christian, (we'll get to the Jewish Scriptures in just a minute) (if you're neither, well remember the point, I'm talking about the Bible) --look into Mathew, the 24th chapter, in which Jesus is speaking about the time of the end. He said there would be a time of tribulation greater than anything the world has ever experienced to that time, or will thereafter. Tribulation greater than anything the world has ever experienced? Worse than the flood of Noah? Worse than the Holocaust? What is he speaking of? He gave another clue. He said that if those days hadn't been shortened, no flesh would survive. Mathew 24:21-22 No flesh would survive? What could possibly be so horrendous that it has the ability to destroy all life on planet earth? Well, it could be a world-wide plague. Or an asteroid hitting the earth. So why think it's a nuclear holocaust? Because there are other passages that speak of it and give more information. The Biblical book of the prophet Zechariah speaks of the time of the coming of the Messiah. Consider what's happening just prior to that time. It's a time when all the nations come against Jerusalem. Jerusalem? Is that city in the news in our days? "And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths." Zechariah 14:12 Their flesh will melt off their bodies while they're standing on their feet? Their tongues will dissolve in their sockets? This isn't a plague of sickness. This is something that happens suddenly. Something that takes them by surprise while they're standing on their feet. This is an accurate description of the results of a neutron bomb. This is nuclear war. The survivors will say afterwards, "why didn't we get it when the entire generation was characterized by the 'nuclear arms race'? Why didn't we get it when the buildup of armaments was reported in our newspapers and on our tv's continuously throughout our generation? We got so used to hearing it that we became desensitized to it, and to all the other things happening right before our eyes." There's another clue, given by the prophet Ezekiel. He is speaking of the time AFTER this holocaust, and he describes the cleanup. People will know that when they find a bone or body part, they are not to touch it, they are to put a marker by it, and then professionals will come and dispose of it. Why? Think "radioactivity." "For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land They will set apart men regularly employed, with the help of a search party, to pass through the land and bury those bodies remaining on the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search. The search party will pass through the land, and whenever anyone sees a man's bone, he shall set up a marker by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog." Ezekiel 39:12-15 What else do we know about this conflagration to come? Well we know who the players are. Consider what the prophet Ezekiel tells us about them: "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, 'Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops many people are with you. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword (the Jews) and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations'" Ezekiel 38 Who are these invading nations? They were named by the names they went by in the time of the prophets. But history has traced them and here are the names of those areas now: Ancient Name ...Modern Name Gog-Magog........Russia Rosh.................Russia Meshech............Moscow Tubal................Tobolsk, also in Russia Persia...............Iran Cush/Put...........North African nations Gomer..............Eastern Europe Togarmah.........Turkey The nations mentioned here thousands of years ago are the very nations now in our daily news. Iran and Russia are the leaders of this confederacy. What is true of Iran and Russia? Nuclear weapons. What is the world shouting at them even right now, in recent news? That their nuclear weapons development must be stopped. Will it be stopped? No. According to the Biblical prophecies, it is going to precipitate a time of tribulation greater than anything the world has ever known. A time that will so pollute the earth, that afterwards it will take specialists just to go near bodies and body parts -- just to collect the bones from which their flesh melted off as they stood on their feet. Is the "war on terror" going to succeed? No. Is there anything we can do to stop it? No. The Biblical prophecies WILL come to pass. And the scenario is right now set up exactly according to Israel's ancient prophets. When? Jesus said to watch for the generation that sees the return of the Jews to Israel, the "budding of the fig tree," the Biblical symbol of Israel, and that has happened in this century. He said it would be a generation of wars, rumors of wars, great earthquakes, famines, and pestilence (disease.) All coming together at the same time, like birth pains. Is anything missing out of that list? No. It's all in front of us and on our tv screens daily. It's all there. It could begin tomorrow. Why am I telling you this? To scare you? If only! If only you were scared enough to realize that you might not have a future. If you knew that for certain, what do you think your reaction would be? Hopefully for many of you, it will be the realization that our life here is short, it will soon be over one way or another, and there is nothing, NOTHING as important as finding out what God has said about your eternity, because that's where you're going to spend most of your existence. A few years here. Maybe 70? More or less, and possibly coming to an end shortly. Eternity is a very long time to risk spending it in misery. Do you think you're going to heaven? If so, on what basis do you think that? Hoping they grade on the curve? I assure you, the Word of God makes it very clear that they do NOT grade on the curve. If you're thinking you were more good than bad, so you're ok, you've been sadly deceived. "ALL we like sheep have gone astray" "There is none righteous, no not one." If you just assume you're good enough for heaven, then I'll quote Jesus: "...seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear for the heart of this people has grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart" Matthew 13:13-15 Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=P_Maillet http://EzineArticles.com/?Will-We-Win-The-War-On-Terror?&id=394863 sale zolpidem ambien stroke zolpidem buy ambien ambien keyword

Flower Bulbs in Dry Climate

By Robbie Darmona Spring flower bulbs in dry climate can really grow into beautiful and healthy plants, if you keep to several rules of thumb. Gardeners from southern part of Australia are often eager to complain about the dry conditions that ruin the greenery of their gardens. Indeed, weather in southern Australia, as well as in other hot places on the earth, can be a great obstacle to anyones gardening efforts. But with some precautions on our side, we can learn to handle with the weather and use hot climate even as a helpful tool to change our gardens to their best looks. Flower bulbs need special treatment and most of the gardeners are soon to forget about it. If you plan to seed your flower bulbs in a hot and dry climate, youd better choose drought tolerant plants. They are reliable and can beat the hot climate and grow to their utmost despite the temperature inconvenience. Flower bulbs are an excellent choice if you plan to pick up drought tolerant plants. The flower bulbs of almost all types of flowers are a natural reservoir of nutrients and moisture, and can endure the unfriendly conditions. They are wrapped up in special flakes, which are very thick and can prevent from warming. Flower bulbs are a storage organ and can be the perfect preservative against harsh conditions. Another privilege that flower bulbs have is that most of them are basically planted in the autumn. The cool winter months prevent the flower bulbs from heat, and they have time enough to grow and develop in the fertilized soil. After the winter has gone, spring evokes the flower bulbs to pop up, and beautiful floral shoots are soon to unfold. Flower bulbs can also be planted in April- May, in the spring months, which are not very hot. They can have the opportunity to develop during the hot times, and spring up in the early autumn. Flower bulbs are extremely stable in hot conditions, because they have they own environment, which is created by the substantial content of the bulb. Thats why spring flowers are grown even in the hottest climate conditions. There is large variety of colors and nuances that every type of flower bulb can offer. You should pick up the color combinations and flower types from flower bulbs stores, which are largely visited by gardeners in the period April-May. The longer you delay planting time, and leave the bulbs for warmer months, the more likely it is going to be that nothing will spring up. You should be very careful when picking up the planting time, in accordance to the soil temperature and properties, to the weather forecast for the summer months, and to the advice that experienced gardeners will give you. You success also depends on the fertilizer that you use. If you use a proper one, which suits the conditions of soil in your garden, you are very likely to have your flower bulbs turn into beautiful plants. Flower bulbs such as soldier boys, spring stars, crocus, freesias, ixias, and grape hyacinths are extremely extensive in comparison to others. Thats because they are likely to produce more flower plants, and have shoots for many years to come. They need not be replanted every year, unlike other flower bulbs. Anemones and ranunculus, for example, are not as endurable as the above mentioned. They need annual replanting and a lot of care. They can be grown in the winter, which is their main positive side. Their flower bulb is fleshy and contains a lot of nutrients, which explains why they can endure the chilly conditions. But they can also be grown in every other season. These two types should be planted every winter, if you like to have them spring up in the spring. Unlike other flower bulb spring plants, they can bloom for several weeks, and they require almost no care as soon as they have sprung up. They are essential flowers for every garden in the spring. The Drive By Fishing Report

By A.J. Klott For the average fishermen, the urge to go fishing is usually proceeded by the time honored ritual of checking out THE FISHING REPORT. Most rivers and lakes in traditional "fish bearing" areas, appear to have some sort of guru who compiles daily catch and success rates of the men and women who toil the waters casting and trolling for fish. In most cases it is a local newspaper columnist OR river guide turned columnist who reports or gathers the information we all crave before investing our precious time into fishy endeavors. In some cases, on line fishing reports can be useful but then we all know how reliable the internet is for accurate information. Oh yeah--I write columns on the internet. So, I take it back. The internet is a wonderful source of information, take everything you read as gospel. Now back to our regularly scheduled program... ...Several calls or e-mails to and from guides and respected fishermen allow for a fairly accurate assessment of water conditions and "bite" of the fish.Bait of choice and actual fish count numbers also help us to make decisions as to where and how we chase after our prey. We open our outdoor section in our local daily, and read the report like a want ad, expecting to see a report that says: "Hey A.J.--Yeah you--- grab your rod head out to the old military bridge, walk up to the first riffle upstream and cast to the inside pocket. There are thirteen steelhead sitting there waiting for about a half ounce of roe, spit some tobacco juice on it for luck and be sure to use about a half ounce of weight, let it sink to the bottom and bounce it lightly. You will feel a slight pause and heavy feeling on your eight pound test--that's a fish dummy --so lift your rod and start yelling like a little boy." Of course, what we really get is: Fishing is really picking up in the middle stretches of the river, with many catches being reported on roe, flies, worms, plugs, herring, small dogs and lures. Some fishermen are occasionaly picking up fish by side drifting bait while others are having some success back bouncing or picking off a few fish from the banks. The numbers of fish are generally good and guides are finding pockets of fish scattered throughout the river.... For the most part, you can cut and paste that report and use that as your fishing report for any river. Except for the small dog part. That is the problem with fishing reports. They are useless. By the time you get the information, everything can change. Fishing conditions can change hourly, daily, and even by the minute, so--- to go armed with yesterdays news is just waste of time. Just ask anybody who has ever gone to a place with old information and came away with that "I should have been here yesterday" feeling. For my inspiration to head off to the river, I need only get my fishing reports from the "drive by fishing report"??? Let me explain. I was tooling along the boardwalk of the main drag in my hometown of Jacksonville Oregon the other day, minding my own business deep in thought of some silly idle brain cell expulsion of energy. When a voice rang out," did you hear about my fish?" Outside of the fact, that I was not sure if God had finally answered my prayers and decided to personally have a conversation with me, I knew somebody was trying to get my attention. I looked around and there hanging out the window of his pick up truck was Jerry. Relieved that I wasn't going to have to grow a long beard and wander the desert while carrying stone tablets, I heard Jerry holler at me again. "Did I tell you about the fish I caught the other day?" The fact that he asked me a second time, and was willing to slow the traffic behind him to give me some up to the minute report on fishing told me this might be big news. "I caught a twenty-four and a half pound steelhead up on the North Umpqua." I replied in a fashion that certainly would disqualify me from any future Mosaic job openings, and of course asked him--when? "This past weekend." I repeated my "first impressions" of HIS luck, and then traffic pushed him along and he was out of there. Now that is my idea of a fishing report. I knew it was accurate, because he added the half pound in his report. I had the location, and I had the approximate time.It was short and to the point. And for those of you that are unfamiliar with southern Oregon steelhead-- that is a huge fish. At that point I had just received all the inspiration and information one could possibly need to go fishing. In other words, as long as fish are present there is always the chance that I may be the lucky person to be on the other end of that battle with an incredible fish like that. Isn't that what it's all about? So if you need to check out the fishing report before heading out for a day or week of fishing-so be it. But really, if you have the basic knowledge of knowing where, and how to catch the fish that are present in the lake or river system. Just go. You can't catch 'em until you get your line in the water. And who knows, maybe it will be you giving the daily "drive by fishing report" in your town..... A.J. Klott Author, writer of fishing humor, and "fly tack" peddler.A.J. writes about the people, characters and modern day events that surround the fishing world. The Mystique of African Craft

By Maria Mbura African sculpture was admired first out of mere curiosity, then held in contempt, disdained and scorned, soon became worldwide data. Then suddenly through the interest of several modern painters, it was promoted to the dignity of an inspirational source. Today it is an object of trade and research to a number of connoisseurs. For more than five centuries before entering aesthetic hall of fame, African sculpture was regarded from contrasting points of view. This necessitated the study of the arts of black Africa. In the last quarter of 15centuary and 2nd quarter of the 19th, the western world turned towards Africa. The attempts were so ruinous because of the circumstances that brought the two worlds together: lust for gold, European desire for power, the discovery of another civilization, economic crises etc. More than anything else Europe needed gold. Merchants knew that the gold they purchased from the infidels in the trading posts, the fonduks of North Africa came from the interior from Sudan. The decline of Hungarian mines provoked the worst economic crisis of the 13th century. The desire to find the source of the precious metal, to compete with Arab markets and awaken European economy to a life of trade was the essential motivation behind the first encounter between Africa and Europe. It's doubtful that an inventory of what the Renaissance knew of the products and goods of Africa could be compiled. The interest was probably just a fad, but it lasted until 17th century and was strong enough to create a market in Africa itself Black craftsmen working under Portuguese merchants, fashioned ivory pieces, ivory spoons, forks and horns were eagerly sought by the royal courts of Europe. Carved horns, covered cups, salt cellars and cutlery ordered directly from artists in Africa were collected by museums in Madrid, Brunswick, Leyden and the Vatican. Mythical accounts say that when the blacks of central Africa settled in the regions they now occupy, about 5000B.C, they found a population of small men probably ancestors of pygmies. They survived on hunting in equatorial forests. They were sometimes taken captive and sent to the Pharaoh's courts to serve as buffoons and acrobats. Information is also available on the demographic movements that that populated Africa with blacks and their contacts before they penetrated further into the center of the continent. Sahara, at the time of Roman empire, was not a desert and was inhabited by small black communities. Mighty rivers flowed down from the Atlas and Hogger mountains. Zoological and botanical remains indicate that a residual flora and fauna, including crocodiles and elephants, still existed in the 19thcentury.Technological discoveries of massive equipment e.g polished axes, stationary millstones and crushers, suggests that their ancestors were agricultural people. Light weight tools probably used by shepherds, hunters and warriors and including blades, knives and arrow and spearheads, were found in the north. Finally artistic traces include frescoes and engravings located in the rocky relief of the Sahara, the Hoggar, tibesti and Ennedi. Some of the paintings prove the antiquity of institutions and customs still surviving in traditional Africa. Seniors - Beware

By Freda B. Douglas Several years ago, before I joined the Senior age bracket myself, I worked in a hospital business office. There I became aware of the problems seniors were having relative to their insurance. Listening to their conversations I realized their problems were not limited to insurance. They had no place to turn to for solutions to their problems. As an employee of the hospital I was not able to even give the seniors who talked to me a suggestion and that left me totally frustrated. Suddenly I was a senior and started feeling frustrated again this time because I was the one looking for solutions to my own problems. Gradually I started to find my own answers and finally found a way to help fellow senior citizens. I started to write a weekly newspaper column, and even though my column had younger readers, most of my readers were fellow seniors, and if I had some information I thought would help them I wrote it into my column. Now I am going to include the facts in this column that might help the seniors and any other age group I might attract. I am a frustrated school teacher and have always liked to teach. You may refer to me as The Encourager. I am a believer in natural supplements and this time I would like to expound on costs of medical prescriptions. These facts were taken from an advertisement for Medicare Part D. The names of the prescriptions have been left out because I am sure there are other drugs used for the same ailments. Just look at how much money you, or your insurance company, are spending for your medication and ask yourself if there is something I can use that might perform as well that doesnt involve prescription medicine? If you have high cholesterol your medicine could cost you $1300 a year. If you are diabetic, your medication could cost you $2100 a year. If you have prostate cancer your medicine might cost you $6,000 per year and if you have an overactive bladder your yearly bill could come to $1400. Amazed? I was. _________________________________________________ My name is Freda The Encourager Douglas, my website is http://fredadouglas.com and it costs nothing to look. The Cleverer, Cheaper way to Loan in UK - Secured Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steve_C_Clark]Steve C Clark Money, they say is a strange virtue - sometimes it is more plentiful than one requires, at other times one can do good with some more of it. Putting off a requirement or letting an opportunity go by might not be such a good idea at most times - it is better to loan the amount for the time being. While thinking on those lines, going for Secured Loans for UK residents is a good idea. Secured Loans UK require the borrower to provide some kind of security or collateral to the lender. This collateral could be a house, a piece of property, a vehicle or a bond. They are available for all kinds of purposes and available for amounts varying from 3,000 to 70,000 or even more. It just depends on how comfortable the lender is with the equity of the collateral provided - equity being the surplus the value of the collateral is above the amount being loaned. Secured Loans are the better route due to the following reasons: Secured Loan rates are cheaper than unsecured loans. Since the lender is more comfortable making the decision with the collateral available, the element of risk is less. It is worthwhile though to check for all available rates (mostly listed online) and make a decision only after due deliberation. Secured Loans UK create a win-win situation. Though it reduces the risk for the investor, it does not take anything away from the borrower. The borrower still has full rights over the property or collateral and can reclaim it immediately once the loan is fully paid. Secured Loans are easier to obtain than unsecured loans. There are more lending institutions and bodies ready to give secured loans than unsecured loans, even at higher rates. Secured Loans can be obtained in higher values than other loans. It can be obtained even for values up to 100,000 if the equity is good - this is not possible with other forms of loans. If your credit history is not good, secured loans is the only way to go. The collateral allays fears of the lender and it can be more readily obtained. A few things to be kept in mind is to research well for the best rates available. It is worthwhile to make a comparison or the quoted Annual Percentage Rates, though the actual rates may be slightly different. Also, there might be a lender's policy to charge some penalty for advance repayment. If you have such a plan or possibility, it is better to be clear upfront. Symptoms Of Depression - 3 Things To Look For Before You See Your Doctor

By Joe Stevens Depression has become recognized as a potentially dangerous disease by doctors in the past several years. Unfortunately, it hasn't always been this way. People used to be labeled as hypocondriacs, whiners, lazy, ect. You get the picture. However, there are now many famous people that have come forward and shared their disability with others. People like former NFL and Hall of Fame Quarterback, Terry Bradshaw, Actress Linda Hamilton, of " The Terminator" and "Beauty and the Beast" fame, came forward a few years back and stated that she too suffered from depression. The average person could have depressive symptoms and not be aware that they could have a very real problem. Many people are in denial that they could have anything like that happen to them. Some of us tend to have a "super hero" mentallity, where admitting that we could have a problem such as depression might make us (God forbid!) human. Here are three signs that you could be suffering from symptoms of depression. #1. You feel crummy, don't know why, and it lasts at least two weeks. I'm talking about lack of energy, sadness, possible crying episodes, ect. You've either never, felt this way or at least not for this long. You could be moody, have a lack of enthusiasm, loss of interest in things that you normally like to do, ect. Maybe your wife, kids, co-workers, relatives or friends notice that something is wrong with you. You could also have a loss of sex drive. #2. You have thoughts of hurting yourself or others. This is pretty self explanatory. If you feel that you're a "normal" guy or gal and you are all of the sudden having feelings of harming yourself or others, then it's time to seek professional help. This is potentially a symptom of what's know as Bipolar Disorder or more commonly known as Manic Depression. Many manic depressives will resort to self mutilation as a way of crying for help. Razor cuts on the arms are quite common. I know that this doesn't paint a pretty picture. As I stated before, depression is a potentially serious disease. If you or anyone you know suffers from symptoms like this, please seek medical help right away. #3. You want to isolate yourself from others. Everyone needs privacy at times, but I'm talking about when you just don't want to be around others for any length of time. Perhaps you're having symptoms of anxiety, such as heart racing, chest pains, sweaty palms, rapid breathing, ect. Anxiety and depression can go hand in hand. There are many individuals taking medication for both symptoms at the same time. Summary Depression is nothing that you have to be ashamed of. It's quite common and there's a very good chance that your doctor can prescribe some form of medication that can help to curb your depression and/or anxiety symptoms. So if you've been feeling down for more that two weeks, get yourself in to see your doctor and get yourself back on track!
