Tie-In With Others To Maximize Your Business Leverage

By Joe Love One of the most rewarding, inexpensive, under-used, and effective methods of marketing is to tie in your marketing efforts with the efforts of others. The cost of acquiring a new client or customer is enormous. The average business will spend thousands of dollars in marketing, sales, and advertising to build goodwill and develop loyal clients or customers. Most businesses spend their marketing dollars to reach a large audience, and yet they're only going to get a small fraction of this audience. By tying in with other businesses you can eliminate a lot of expense, time, and inefficiency in prospecting, and spend the majority of your valuable time and money on people who are ready to buy. You can do this by developing a tie-in relationship with another business that has already spent the time, effort, and marketing to attract the same customers who you would like to have. This type of relationship is beneficial for both your business and the business you are tying in with. It works like this, company A either controls, owns, or has developed client lists that company B wants to utilize to buy its products or services. To create a tie-in relationship with another indvidual or company you need to identify all similar businesses, professionals, organizations, and even competitors who are in a position to control (or enjoy a favorable relationship with) viable prospects for your product or service. Naturally this works best if both your businesses are in some way complimentary. But this is not necessary. The most important thing is for each of you to help cut marketing costs for the other while at the same time increasing your marketing. The best way to do this is to approach each targeted business to allow you to act as the beneficiary and solicit the host's customers in return for a share of the resulting profits. Once this is done, there are three things you should do to maximize the profit for you and the host: * Get the owner of the host company to write a letter of endrosement recommending your business and specific product or service to their customers. In return, the host receives a generous share of the profits from the deal. * Get the host company to continually promote all your products or services to their customers even after the host has sold all the products or services they can. * Get the host company to let you offer their products or services to your customers on a profit-sharing basis. You will discover a whole world of tie-in possibilities by simply walking the commercial business streets in your community. You'll find many other tie-in possibilities by looking on the internet, in the Yellow Pages, the local newspapers, or by watching television. As you might expect, the deeper the tie-ins, the greater the greater chance there is for profit. Having someone put a pile of your brochures on their counter or putting an affiliate banner on their Web site is one thing. But having them actually recommend your business is much stronger. Every one ends up gaining in a tie-in relationship: the customer learns of a new place to buy whatever you sell, you gain, and the host business gains. Most importantly is that all this gain takes place at a much reduced marketing cost for both businesses. All contents Copyright(c)2005 Joe Love and JLM & Associates, Inc. Yom Kippur at Sdot Yam

By David Ben-Ariel Mon., Oct. 9, '89/9:30 p.m. Kibbutz Sdot Yam Today was Yom Kippur, so I begin to write on a "clean slate," beginning with synagogue services (2 1/2 hrs.) last night to usher in this holiest of Jewish days. I mainly went for the experience, as well as spiritual solidarity with my people (God's Church & the Jews) around the world. I read & sang only about a tithe of the service - amazed that I could keep up in Hebrew I'd never read before. With me were other ulpanistim [Hebrew students] who elected to fast - mainly, I believe, for the experience or test or show-off of will-power. God alone knows. I scanned the faces of all those assembled in the make-shift synagogue with mixed emotions and an alien distance. Tradition - even empty, hollow, shallow - has assisted Jewry to preserve this Day, however imperfectly; yet I also couldn't help but think of God & Kahane who might dismiss such "worship" as vain and such "devotions" as void. Liberal, Hellenist, humanists who have nothing to do with God and are ignorant of or deny His Word as a general rule, as hypocritical & unacceptable as professing Christianity on the pagan days of Christmas and Easter - temporarily becoming "religious" or sickly kind...Nevertheless, may we all ultimately worship the One True God and His Son, in spirit & in truth. G'mar hateemah tovah! [Be inscribed for good in the Book]. During this relatively easy fast today, I laid in bed & read & read The Good News magazine, meditated on life, my past, present and potential future. I prayed & asked for forgiveness and clarity of mind & purpose with patience to overcome sins and achieve success in this spiritual struggle, resolving to start again to abstain from alcohol and stop going to our kibbutz pub on erev Shabbat [Sabbath evening]. Today I really missed Church services and fellowship with the brethren, remembering our divine camaraderie. My goals were to spend 3 wks. in Florida with Steve & Bob, also to change my name to David Ben-Ariel, 18 days in Europe with Mom & Lisa, make aliyah to Israel and join an ulpan (intensive Hebrew language course]. So far, so good. Now I must decide - God help me - to continue immediately the ulpan in ketah bet [class b - next level] somewhere, or temporarily suspend Hebrew to earn money on a moshav... Presently I'm reading Hannah Senesh - Her Life and Diaries. The first 50 pages I found so boring and forced myself to read what seemed like fabricated Jewish propaganda - the girl seemed too good to be true, nauseatingly a goody-two-shoes. Now I'm enjoying it more since she's mentioned historic events, like Hitler, etc. I've wondered if perhaps the helplessness and hopelessness I've experienced in returning to God is part of His punishment to cause me to think twice before going astray again - not that He's ever forgotten or forsaken me, just letting me wallow for awhile in my own mire. Thank God I'm convinced of His Calling, Purpose & Interest in my life or I would have died ages ago. Mrs. Corpus once commented on how God had given me that gift of FAITH. I must fulfill my personal destiny as a Son of Jerusalem, publish my poems, chart called PRIEST-KING - The Twin Pillars of Israel, & book THE GRAND DESIGN [since published as Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall]. I must, Lord-willing, RESTORE our Jewish-Christian presence in Jerusalem & Israel, significant since I'm of Bet David [House of David]. We received our first official rain the other day. Hannah S. wrote: "When anyone in Hungary spoke of Zionism five or even 2 years ago, Jewish public opinion condemned him as a traitor of Hungary, laughed at him, considered him a mad visionary, and under no circumstances heard him out." Reminded me of how I too, subject to ridicule or suspicion, am a pioneer for God's Church here in the Mideast. Mr. Fiedler [one of my former ministers in the Worldwide Church of God] had said once about my "activist" activities (of writing to The Blade, my beliefs & actions) that I was so "unorthodox" - I countered so was Mr. Armstrong, and like him, would go it alone if necessary, convinced of the rightness of my convictions. Later, somewhat angry or frustrated, he said, "Why can't you just be like everyone else who goes to the Mideast for the Feast [of Tabernacles], is satisfied and returns? Why do you have to always make inroads?" I said what he called "inroads" I considered "open doors" that I never sought nor pushed open, but walked thru in faith, and that I simply believed what the Church taught, that I'm descended in part from Bet David & therefore choose to return to my ancient Homeland of the Jews - Israel. He said he was German but didn't feel he had to move to Germany. I said that was his prerogative. Earlier, he & Mr. Gilbert [his associate pastor] gently cautioned me not to appear so Jewish that I'd give people a wrong impression of the Church - like saying Shabbat Shalom, etc. I thanked them for their concern, commented I was already aware of the need to be balanced, but also that God had used my understanding of the Mideast to become all things to Jews & Arabs, more so than others in the Congregation. Then when H.Q.'s forbade my Mideast Feast attendance indefinitely, fearing I might misrepresent the Church (as a homosexual) [due to one complaint about me during the Feast in Jordan that contradicted the biblical procedure of Matthew 18:15-17, as Mr. Gilbert noted], it further encouraged me to think a separation was due [like the US was driven to separate from England after a series of injustices], a different work to be accomplished [with a God-given focus on Jerusalem and the Jews]. Years before I was sent back home from Israel, strongly encouraged to do so, and was to await a minister resident in Israel to "supervise" my "activities." [Church elder Carl Fields commented to me, "Are they setting a precedent?"] I've waited 7 years, Grandpa has now died, I've received my inheritance, toured Europe and now, almost 30 (potentially significant), am living in Israel studying Hebrew! I have felt drawn to Israel, desire to become a part of this ancient but young nation's history, and fulfill, ultimately, my destiny in Jerusalem. People Who Pester You

By Maria Moratto Q: What do you do with people who require blessings every day? A: You keep blessing them everyday. Do you have people in your life who truly bother you in big ways? I call them our soul attachments. Some people come into our lives for many reasons and a few are certainly intended to make us pay some debts to our karma bank or to our thought patterns. They feel and look like those bugs that you want to get rid of but never succeed. They grasp your hair, crawl all over you, tickle and bite you leaving your skin itching, inflamed, and sore. They get inside your ears making a permanent buzzing sound. They get into your eyes making everything look blurred and teary. They get into your mouth making things taste sour. They attach to your feet and give your blisters. They walk all over you when you sleep, and then you have nightmares. Having one of these people in our lives is a terrible thing and much worse is having more than one. Some of us do. Sometimes, you havent seen these people for ages and sometimes these people are not even living any longer. Still the sour memory of them is enough to trigger a huge discomfort in your being. Having to live with these people or their memory day in and day out, hour after hour, minute after minute is no picnic. It requires a massive dose of self-control, determination, and forgiveness. Not that they are constantly in your face, but the simple thought of them makes you wish you had a magic wand and then, with a flip of your wrist you could point it to the person and exclaim: "disapparatus!" or something like this and they would vanish. Or perhaps you wish you had you own pair of the ruby slippers and just by clicking the heels your wish would come true. Ah! What a great dream. However, based on your history with this person or persons, this dream remains a dream, unless... Unless you truly believe you have a magic wand or the ruby slippers, then the sky is the limit. Truth be told, we do have the wand and the slippers. Though we cant see them with our naked eyes, they already exist in all of us. We can do wonders with them; we only need to put them to work. They are called "thoughts." Now, based on the Law of Attraction, you already know what to do with your thoughts: treat them with the utmost love, consideration, and respect; as though you are caring for your silver vases. You clean, you shine, you protect, and you display them in the best part of your home. So just do the same with your thoughts: think positive; send love, bless; forgive. How long do you have to do this regarding those persons who really, truly bug you? Good question. My answer is: How long is your life? You keep doing it over and over and over and one day, just like that, you finally understand with your heart and you truly believe you have the magic wand or the ruby slippers. That will be the day when they will go away from your life, once and for all. Maria Moratto 2006 Want to have more abundance, health, time, love, fun, and blessings? Diagnosis: Business Insanity

By Nicole Dean Are you insane? Most everyone has seen the following definition of insanity, accurately described by Albert Einstein - Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Are you doing the same things with your business repeatedly and expecting different results? If you look back at 2005, and dont see significant progress in your business, you may be stuck in a rut, doing the same things over and over, and expecting different results. Diagnosis: You may be insane in your business marketing. Now, if you were completely insane in your marketing, youd keep doing the same thing throughout this year and then in 2007 and 2008. Each year, youd still be thinking Why cant I succeed? Youd see other people passing you by, while you scratched your head left in the dust. Lack of success is not necessarily a reflection on how hard or how long you are working. You can be a very hard-working person, but also suffer from chronic business insanity. What were going to talk about today is how to learn from experience to figure out what works and what is a waste of your time and energy. At the start of a new year, comes a fresh start. How will you break free from your business insanity? First, lets take some time to see how to improve upon what we are already doing -- and achieve amazing results because of it. Find your Ruts We all have them. RUTS and time wasters. Can you identify yours? Theres one way to find out. For several days, keep track of your time. Itll seem like a pain, but, you cant recognize your ruts unless you know where your time and energy is currently going. Otherwise, youre just guessing. Place a notepad by your computer and track what you are spending time on, especially forums, checking email, Instant Messenger, the telephone, and research. These things can feed the procrastinator in all of us and prevent us from focusing on the activities that actually make money. Treat this log like a diary by being extremely honest and not showing it to anyone else. Once you have your time logged in your notepad, youll easily spot the biggest time wasters when theyre staring you in the face. Its a little scary, isnt it?! Who knew so much time could slip by while reading your email? What feels like 5 minutes is actually 20. What seems like 20 minutes is actually an hour. Its no wonder the days fly by. From here, I want you to ask yourself some questions: If I only had ONE hour a day to devote to my business, how would I spend it? If I had 30 days to make $5,000 extra dollars, how would I attempt it? If I were to tell a new WAHM the one thing that has made me the most money, what would I tell her? This is where you need to focus your time and energy. Now ask yourself these questions: What have I learned in 2005 that does NOT work? If I could go back and have another chance at last year, what would I change? Now that you skimmed over those questions, go back and really think about them. Its easy to dismiss the questions, but this step is an important investment into your business. Type out your answers and staple the paper to the last page of your 2006 calendar so you can go back next year and see if youve conquered your business insanity. Once your priorities and time wasters are clear in your head, you can move on to setting your goals. Goal setting I know that goal-setting is not fun, but you cant assess your progress unless you are able to view it in black and white. "A goal properly set is halfway reached." - Zig Ziglar So, how do you set realistic goals? Your goals must be measurable and broken down into tasks that you can accomplish. Make them achievable, but also tangible. Goals like do better this year are much harder to track than goals that are tangible. Set your goals to be measurable. Sample goals may be Make 10 phone calls this week Sign up for two craft fairs Make 20 bottles of lotion Graduate from College Add 10 new pages to my website per week Eat at home 5 nights each week instead of spending money at restaurants Submit 2 articles this month Set a deadline and be accountable. Write your goals down. Tell a friend or post your goals on a forum. Make yourself accountable to your goals. Now that you have your goals in writing, and you know how to achieve them, you can track your progress and celebrate your successes. Best wishes to you in 2006. I hope it's your best year yet. Makeup Tips According To The Seasons - Introduction

By Michael Russell There is a concept in makeup now of listing it in terms of warm and cool. This can cover foundations, powders and even blushes. It comes from a system introduced a few decades back that can be loosely described as color coding. It was, in basic terms, a system where a person (mainly women but men too) could figure out how to choose their clothes and even makeup according to an individual's skin complexion. Each skin complexion would match up with a particular season of the year. If a person had very fair skin tone, that person would be considered a "spring" and would match their clothes and even makeup to what was considered "spring" colors. If a person had a medium skin tone, that person would be considered a "summer" and would match their clothes and even makeup to what was considered "summer" colors. If a person had a more tan skin tone, that person would be considered a "fall" and would match their clothes and even makeup to what was considered "fall" colors. If a person had a more rich skin tone, that person would be considered a "winter" and would match their clothes and even makeup to what was considered "winter" colors. Books were written and home parties were hosted on this color coding technique. It was unique in that when a person thought they knew what "season" they were under, some people on a few occasion were surprised to find themselves under another "season". It was assumed that people of an Ethnic background would automatically be classified as "winters", but some Caucasian people quite often fell under this category as well. To give a general idea how this all worked, the season "winter" will be used in the following examples and suggestions. "Winters" would pick foundations under cool shades and with a rose base. Examples of cool foundation shades were rose and sand. Test a foundation on the jaw line to get the proper matching shade. Cover dark scars and blemishes with a cover stick in the cool shade category. Blushes were to be chosen in the cool shades particularly the rose family. Examples of cool blushes ranged from blue-pink to burgundy with the exception of clear red. Lipsticks were to be chosen in the cool shades particularly in rose tones. Examples of cool lipstick shades were pinks, plums, burgundies, (the plums and burgundies can also be brownish) blue-reds and clear reds. The reds could be used as a base for the other colors. If any of the lipstick colors turned blue; it was suggested to try a frosted lipstick. A lipstick brush or pencil was to be used to outline the lips. When buying a lipstick brush, one that a sable tip was suggested. Eyebrow pencils were to chosen in the cool shades. Examples of eyebrow pencils in the cool shades were charcoal brown, or the ones with grayish and/or taupe tones. Eye shadows were to be used in powder form. If using crayons, a creamy crayon was recommended. How to Curb Carbohydrate Cravings!

By Kim Beardsmore As a weight loss mentor it never ceases to amaze me how people inadvertently set themselves up for a huge snack attack mid afternoon. For many, the set up is so complete that it is almost impossible to control! The result is that people think they are weak-willed and lacking in discipline. Often the answer has little to do with character or determination. More often the reason for the mid afternoon carbohydrate cravings is due to gaps in understanding how our body works and responds to diferent types of food. Read on to see what you can do to control those mid afternoon cravings. Trigger foods If you want to control those cravings there are a few principles you must be aware of. The first is concerning trigger foods. Nutritional research has documented, carbohydrates trigger the brain to crave more carbohydrates, leading to a cycle of carbohydrate eating that becomes hard to control. Trigger foods keep you fat. The goal is to have control over these foods rather than allowing them to have control over you. What do trigger foods look like? Well, they vary from person to person, but typically look like soft drinks, potato chips, corn chips, peanuts, french fries, cheese, pizza, chocolate chip cookies, pretzel, apple pie, candy bar and so on. These are the foods that for many, "once we pop, we can't stop!". Isn't it amazing that all these types of foods are available from take-away places? They are so readily available and have crept into our daily routine without us even planning it to happen. We get hungry, we are busy, we are distracted, and one serve leads to another; and we don't realise just how much we are eating as the triggering effect takes place in our brains. By eating a small portion of any of the above you can easily consume anywhere from 350 to 1000 calories. Two serves could be 700 to 2000 calories! Most women on a weight loss program are aiming for between 1200-1400 calories a day, so you can see that one snack can seriously sabotage your plans. Does this sound like you? I can hear the deep sighs of regret and frustration! Don't worry, there are answers for you. You can be empowered to take control when you know how to avoid the nutritional set up that will drive you towards trigger foods. Here are a few simple principles that will deal a wounding blow to the late afternoon "snack monster". Five steps to avoid carbohydrate cravings: 1. Incorporate protein in to your breakfast AND lunch. Protein is key to controlling carbohydrate cravings. The RDA of protein for women is 60 grams a day. For women wanting to lose weight, health professionals recommend approximately 100 grams of protein daily. Why? One of the principle advantages of protein is that it creates a feeling of fullness and satisfaction in the body that makes overeating much less likely. Source your protein from ultra lean sources so you don't pick up unwanted calories and saturated fats. Even better, than providing a sense of sustained fullness, protein can block the triggering effect that carbohydrates can have on the brain. If you eat protein with a carbohydrate it will reduce the cravings caused by eating the carbohydrate. 2. Never skip meals. Research has shown that people who skip meals are more prone to obesity than those who regularly eat 3 meals a day. In fact, people who space their daily food requirements by making appropriate use of healthy snacks do even better. Why is this? When you skip meals you are more likely to get hungry and fill up on easily obtained fast foods which are often trigger foods. 3. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water throughout the day. For some people sugar laden soft drinks are a trigger food. Make sure you don't get thirsty in the first place. Water creates a sense of fullness and has a host of other health benefits. 4. Plan the timing of your meals so that you don't get hungry. Despite having three healthy meals a day, sometimes your work schedule can mean the spacing of those meals still does not guard against the carbohydrate cravings. If you have a long gap between meals, make sure you carry healthy snacks to cover the distance, otherwise hunger will set in 5. Plan your snacks. Plan out your weekly snack schedule with some delicious, healthy snacks. Purchase these with your weekly shopping so that you are fully prepared. If you need to, get up a few minutes earlier in the morning so you have time to prepare and take your snacks to work. Remember, healthy snacks don't live in a vending machine! You are less likely to get hungry when you have a ready supply of healthy snacks. 6. Carry emergency supplies of nutritional protein bars in your handbag or brief case. When you feel a carbohydrate craving, eat the protein bar instead and wait 30 minutes before acting on the craving. More often than not the craving will pass and you will be in control again. This truly works! Incorporate these principles into your daily routine and you could be well underway to change your life and be able to take control over the mid afternoon 'snack attacks'. Balance Your Circadian Rhythm: Open the Curtains!

By Jeanette Joy Fisher Science has known about the concept of circadian rhythm (CR) for a long time. In short, your CR is your body's internal clock, and it regulates all of your biological processes. CR is mainly dependent upon sunlight to keep your CR regular and healthy. Even if you don't know anything about CR, you're familiar with its effects. For instance, if you get sleepy in the mid-afternoon or if you seem to get your best work done late at night, you're being guided by your body's internal CR. That same system controls things such as your heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature, so it's important to pay attention to your body's natural CR if you're going to be effective in your daily life. Although scientists haven't nailed down all the factors involved, the most important factor they've identified for keeping your CR in balance is sunlight. CR is what helps keep your body alert during daylight hours and then helps you relax when night starts to fall so you'll be able to sleep. It's also your CR that wakes you up in the morning on time, even on days when you forgot to set your alarm the night before. One of the best ways to maintain a healthy CR is to make sure your home has lots of sunlight. If you find yourself feeling somewhat out of sorts or down for no particular reason, it may be that your body is craving sunlight. A simple thing like opening the drapes and letting the sunshine in may help rebalance your CR. A widespread sleep disorder called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) has been found to be caused by a disruption in people's CR. Sometimes called the "Winter Blahs," SAD is felt most acutely during the winter months, when there's less sunlight available. This is especially noticeable in people who live in northern areas of the world, where the amount of sunlight decreases significantly during winter months, or in areas such as the Pacific Northwest, where there's a great deal of rain. Depression and sleeping difficulty are the most common effects of SAD, and it can be severe enough to cause sufferers to become suicidal. Scientists have discovered that your CR is regulated by your body's production of a compound known as melatonin, which is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland, located between the two hemispheres of your brain. If you've been experiencing sleep difficulties, it would be worthwhile to check your melatonin level. There are melatonin supplements available over the counter, but if they don't seem to help, ask your doctor about other alternatives that may be available. Research in CR is ongoing, but you can take the first steps toward balancing your own CR by bringing plenty of sunlight into your home and by doing your best to try to maintain a regular schedule, including going to bed and getting up at essentially the same time every day. Keeping a strict routine may be difficult, but opening the curtains in your home is easy, and it will go a long way toward helping keep your circadian rhythm in balance. Secure Your Business With Unsecured Business Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Michael_Brian]Michael Brian Capital plays the major role in a business. Without capital, running a business is completely impossible. Sometimes we become short off it and then we need to look for a loan. But many of us do not prefer to use own property at the time of availing a loan. For them unsecured business loans are good option. Unsecured business loans- through the name one can easily make out that these loans are served without any collateral. This is the main attribute of these loans that borrowers need not to put their property at risk. These loans are available with a package of ₤ 5000 to ₤100000 for 3 to 25 years. With abounding of advantages Unsecured Business Loans have found a vast sector to use. Some of them are mentioned below. To start up a new business. To buy factory ,land or other business premises To improve office or business premises To purchase business related materials and so on. In this context, borrower should be aware of the extra edges of unsecured business loans. Since these loans are available without any collateral, thus the possibility of collateral repossession is nil with these loans. Moreover, due to the absence of collateral, the formalities like the valuation of property, execution of numerous paperwork are absent, thus these loans do not take much time to get approved. So accessibility of loans is quick. While borrowers apply for an unsecured business loan, they have to submit some proofs for verification. Through this verification lenders try to check the stability of the borrowers business. To apply for an unsecured business loans, borrowers need to mention the nature of his business, if it is not new then the duration of the business, yearly turn over, number of employees, name of the business partners, if they have etc. All sorts of borrowers including borrowers with poor credit history, like CCJs, arrears, defaults, people who have filed bankruptcy, IVSs all can apply for an unsecured business loans. Meridia Prescription Guide

By Ian Mason What Is Meridia Used For? Meridia should be used by people who are overweight and have an inital body mass index of at least 30. It is recommended that Meridia also be used by people with BMI of at least 27 if they are at risk for high cholesterol, diabetes, or high blood pressure. Talk to your doctor to find out your BMI and whether or not it's alright for you to use a Meridia prescription. How Do I Use It? Meridia should be taken orally and in the exact way directed by your doctor. This usually involves one dose daily. It may take 4-6 weeks for results to show. Please do not raise your dose, take Meridia more frequently, or use your prescription for a longer time than prescribed by your doctor; Meridia can be addictive. If you have taken Meridia for a long time, please do not stop taking it suddenly without talking to your doctor first. As with many prescription drugs, Meridia may gradually decrease in effectiveness because your body builds tolerance to it. Talk to your doctor if you gain weight after you start taking your prescription. You make take it either before or after a meal. Are There Any Meridia Side Effects? The common side effects of Meridia include dry mouth, sleepiness, difficulty sleeping, and constipation. If any of the effects persist beyond the first week (approximately) or become worse, please tell your doctor as soon as possible. Read more on this warning here. Please do not give your medication to others. Your Meridia prescription should be taken in combination with a diet plan of reduced calories. In order to monitor the possible side effects, your pulse and blood pressure can be measured and used in laboratory testing. Is Meridia Safe? Let your doctor know about your complete medical history. This includes any information regarding allergies (most importantly drug allergies), disease of the liver or kidneys, heart disease, history of stroke or seizures, high blood pressure, eating disorders (ex., anorexia nervosa), glaucoma, or gallstones. Limit or avoid your intake of alcohol because it could make certain side effects worse. Women who are of the childbearing age should talk to their doctor about using any birth control pills with Meridia. Unless directed otherwise, do not use this drug while you are pregnant. Also, because there is a risk for infants, do not breastfeed while taking Meridia. Patients who are elderly may experienced heightened levels of side effects. Please use with cautious. How Does Meridia Interact With Other Drugs? Make sure you tell your doctor about all prescription and nonprescription medications you use; other weight loss medications in particular (such as diethylpropion), and drugs that may raise your blood pressure. Examples of these include decongestants such as pseudoephedrine and phenylpropanolamine. Tell your doctor if you use any cough suppressants like dextromethorphan; antidepressants such as nefazodone; fluoxetine, sertraline, paroxetine, venlafaxine, and fluvoxamine. Other examples include lithium, MAO inhibitors such as selegiline, moclobemide, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, and other medications such as lithium. You should also let your doctor know if you use any drugs to treat migraines (ex: dihydroergotamine and sumatriptan), certain pain relievers that are narcotics (ex. pentazocine, fentanyl, meperidine), erythromycin, ketoconazole. Also tell your doctor about any high blood pressure medicines you use, and any other drugs that may cause drowsiness. These include certain types of antihistamines (ex., diphenhydramine), anti-seizure, and sedative medications. You can find antihistamines and decongestants for cough and cold in many nonprescription drugs. Talk to your pharmacist about this. Also, MAO Inhibitors and Meridia should not be taken together. If you stop the use of your Meridia prescription or an MAO Inhibitor, make sure to wait 2 weeks before you start using the other drug. What If I Miss My Dose? In the case that you miss one of your doses, please take it as soon as possible. However, if it is near the scheduled time for your next dose, just skip the dose missed and start back with your prescribed dosing schedule. Do not take twice the normal dose to make up for a missed dose. How Should I Store Meridia? Store your prescription at room temperature. This includes temperatures between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C). Keep it away from humidity/moisture and light. Make sure to keep all of your medications out of reach of children. What Else Should I Know? Do not share any of your prescription with people. Meridia should be used along with a diet plan of reduced calories. Your pulse and blood pressure can be taken/measured along with laboratory tests to monitor side effects. Learn more about the Meridia diet pill at Shoppe.MD. Tips On Choosing An Online College

By Paul W Wilson The dream of completing your college education or furthering your studies is no longer elusive. The World Wide Web boom has brought education to your key board. Many established and renowned universities are offering degrees in varied disciplines through online courses. Studies done by the Distance Education and Training Council in Washington and other regulatory institutions indicate that over 2.25 million people are registered for online courses at universities in the US. Before registering for a course you need to spend some time thinking. Do I want to do a course that will further my career or learn something that I have an abiding interest in? Will I be devoted and complete the course work in time? Take a look at your schedules and find out where you will slot in time for study. Online courses offer great conveniences, flexibility, and a world class education brought to your computer. While choosing a college consider the following: What are the basic qualifications you need to be eligible for a course are there any tests you need to take. Is the college reliable? Does it have the required accreditations? How large are the classes? When the class strength is smaller then each student will receive more time from the instructors. On the other hand a large enrollment indicates success of the course. So you need to carefully weigh all the different aspects. Research blogs and other online messaging centers to find out about the opinion and experiences of students who have satisfactorily complete courses or are disgruntled. Read surveys and analysis about online education. Ask the college for referrals. Examine alumni success. Find out what percentage of students successfully complete the program and how many work professionally in the field of study. Study the online curriculum as well as suggested time-frame carefully. Find out how many students have been able to complete the course work within the given time. Determine whether the coursework meets your educational needs and career goals. Check how current the course work is and whether the textbooks and study materials are relevant. Ask if the university has a 24/7 customer service program and whether you will be eligible for any technical help regarding the software or programs you will need to use. Many universities assign a personal advisor to students one who will answer questions willingly and take care all nitty gritties like enrollment procedures, course work submissions and so on right until graduation. Check out the credentials for the faculty, their qualifications and training to conduct an online class room with ease. Otherwise it may be a question of the blind leading the blind. Read the offer document carefully and ensure that the course is 100% online. Some universities are known to use mail, videotapes, and on-campus programs as part of online course work. Ask how long the online program has been in place and are there any rough spots they have encountered. Read carefully the institutions ethical standard document, most reputed schools have a policy readily available for review. Check thoroughly the institutions financial history and current position. Make sure you are not registering with a fly-by-night operator. Find out what the accreditations of the university are. In the US accreditations come from Middle States, New England, North Central, Northwest, and Southern Western. They have a membership program as well as a system wherein each others accreditations are acknowledged. Most important ask about fees and financial aid. Find out what the tuitions fees are and whether any other costs like lab fees, technology fees and so on are to be paid. You will also have to cost expenses towards maintaining your computer and its peripherals like scanners, printers, and fax modem, as well as Internet costs and provider fees. Surf the World Wide web and visit directories like : http://www.collegenet.com/ ; http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/rankindex_brief.php ; as well as http://www.forbes.com/online_colleges.html among thousand other sites. See official sites like http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cool/ and http://usinfo.state.gov/usa/infousa/educ/edlinks.htm and http://www.ed.gov/index.jhtml . It is an important decision to be made and should be made with knowledge and concrete facts.
